What’s it like to be an international student in Australia?

I have not looked back since applying
and getting in and moving here, honestly I’ve felt like it’s the best decision
I’ve made and I’m really, really happy about it and excited to see, I guess,
where the world takes us after this. I thought the shift would be a lot worse than it was, coming from a country that’s
so far away, but because there are so many international students and students
who aren’t from Sydney, everyone is kind of trying to build connections and it’s
really easy. Even before classes start, you’ll have a lot of opportunities to
meet and hang out with your classmates and I think because everybody needs
somebody, it’s really, really easy to make friends and then you kind of find that
solid group of people who you know are gonna be with you all throughout like
dental school and beyond. I love that if I’m ever stressed and there’s a time that
I need to get away, I can take a bus for 20 minutes and be by the beach. So I
think that’s one of the best things for me and also just from my perspective
moving here, it’s nice to be in your own space away from your kind of safe zone,
where you learn like how to be yourself and what really matters to you and how
to survive and things like that. So I think Sydney is safe, it’s beautiful and
it’s a perfect place for someone to kind of like figure all those things out.
