(Elle Simone)
After culinary school
I interned at the Food Network,
and that was where I learned about
culinary media. “So I’m going to add
a couple pinches “of salt
for flavor…” (Dan Souza)
Time in
restaurants is– even if you do want
to go into the culinary kind of media world
is invaluable. -You will probably find
yourself in a kitchen where you’re
the only person who looks like you.
So what? Do not be easily
intimidated in this industry. You belong there,
you have purpose, you have skills. (Hubert Keller)
There is a diversity
in those kitchens which is totally
accepted. We’re looking for young
chefs all the time, talented chefs,
and Las Vegas in particular,
there are more restaurants
opening up in a year than any other city
in the United States. -There are a lot of
jobs you can do in the culinary arts
that require all the skills you have. -The experience
you guys are getting here and
in restaurants gets your skill level
up to an awesome point. -Today as we are
is the best time ever to become a chef. This message is part

Getting to Work,

initiative made possibleby the Corporation for
