USI International Student Hannah Baxter-Freeman Shares Her Experience
Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m from Britain and this is the University of Southern Indiana. Before I arrived in America I was really worried about culture shock and not fitting in but the moment I got here I was so
welcomed by all the international staff. Everybody was so wonderful. I think there’s the huge value that you get the moment you arrive in Evansville.
Everybody’s so welcoming and so friendly and I’m I didn’t feel any shock at all. I felt welcome the moment I arrived at the airport. I found the faculty here to be really approachable and really friendly. I’ve had some amazing teachers that, they always want to listen to you. They’re always willing to help you if you have any problems. And I’ve just found my lessons really fun and enjoyable at USI. I would encourage everybody to take this opportunity to study abroad. It is something you will never do again in your life, and it will change your life in so many ways and you will enjoy it. There’s no doubt
about it. I think what I will miss most about USI will be the friends I’ve made here All the international students I’ve met
along with all the American friends I’ve made. It’s just been an amazing experience. I would recommend everybody to come to USI. It’s so different from what you see in the movies. Evansville is just so American. It’s the real America. You don’t get to see this otherwise. I recommend it to everyone.
