This is the University of Technology, Sydney. The students here are the unhappiest in the country. I think UTS is a good university This lady attends a university with the lowest student satisfaction rate in Australia. According to a new survey of a 178,000 students from all 40 universities across the country- UTS had the lowest percentage of satisfied students…. So here they are dammit… all 21 of them. ….six of which are considered part of the ‘elite G8’, mind you. Supposedly the 8 best unis in Australia. The G8’s top dog chose to look on the bright side telling Fairfax a student satisfaction average of 80% is Which is true! But it’s like Year 12 exams when your mum tells you 80 is a good score but you know she’s lying cos she tells her friends you got 91 and then can’t explain why you’re only doing an arts degree. My mum’s so whacky… but, look, I’m not here to make this about me. When I was young I studied at this very university and it pains me to know that it didn’t get a distinction in student satisfaction, but a mere credit… A credit?! That’s great. Mate, if uni’s taught me anything you only need a pass. Results of the survey are available online for you to compare and contrast unis and subjects across various indicators. Although it might be an idea to wait for next year’s survey given unis reckon they might up their fees after the May budget. We’ll see who gets a distinction then.
