>>[Background Music] My degree is in
computer networks and cyber security. And now, it’s helping so that I can
find another job in the IT field. So, this degree is pretty much
my ticket to a better life.>>This degree actually got me in the door for my current position so,
I currently work in my field. And then the MBA, I’m hoping to take that
up a step higher into a more executive role.>>I applied for a management analyst position
and, within two weeks, I received a phone call that I was among the top two of 200 applicants
and I was called in for an interview. And, three days later, I got the job. I was so excited and my degree is
what pushed me into that position.>>I realized the true value of my
education when I ran my business reports. I found that I had an eightfold
increase in revenue over two years. This is my education actually paying itself off.>>As an RN, you kind of
come into a lot of roles. One of those severe, I’ve
discovered, is a leadership role and a BSN prepares you better for that.>>The classes that I took had these really
intense and stressful simulation environments that we had to do projects in and I realize
now, six months into project management, that that entire experience helped
prepare me for some of the stress that I was going to see in the real world.>>The thing that was probably driving me is my
17-year-old who’s about to graduate high school, looking at colleges, and I want him to have
some idea that finishing might be a good idea. He feels like he is recognizing the benefits
of tenacity and I am nothing if not tenacious.>>You have to know that
it’s going to be challenging and you’re going to have long days sometimes. But earning my MBA has shown me that I can
step into a leadership position, that I can, you know, take on more responsibility.>>We just kept focus at the
light at the end of the tunnel. We know that getting our masters is
going to open up so many doors for us. I think it really inspired our choice. We’d encourage them to want to go
on to get their degrees as well.>>Today, I feel like I’m a superhero. I feel like I finally got my degree and I’m
ready to get into the next chapter of my life. [ Music ]
