UH Manoa impressive in national and international college rankings

University of Hawaii at Manoa is above the national average in graduation rate and salary
earned after attending and below the national average when it comes to cost. That’s according
to the College Scorecard, a new resource from the U.S. Department of Education released
in September 2015. The College Scorecard found that the in-state cost to attend UH Manoa
per year is just over 11,000 dollars compared to the national average of 16,789 dollars,
56 percent of UH Manoa students graduate compared to the national average of 44 percent and
that they make on average 44,300 dollars after college compared to the 34,343 dollars national

I think it shows that we are one of the world’s great universities. We have a ways to go but
I think we’re on the right track. We are constatnly improving and we are definitely
moving in the right direction>>Narrator: UH also received global recognition
from the Academic Ranking of World Universities for its research excellence. With 1,200 of
the best research universities in the world under consideration, UH Mānoa placed in the
top 200. Morever, the university was ranked 161 by the 2015 U.S. News and World Report
college rankings out of 1,800 four year institutions surveyed.
