Training employable law graduates
At Exeter University we’re very proud of our
postgraduate courses. Our Master’s degrees offer a blend of exciting teaching with
experts in the field, experts who are at the leading edge of their areas of
research. As an international student with a different legal background, I was
a little concerned at the start of the programme how I would adapt to the
different academic environment. One of the things that helped me were the
workshops at the INTO Center of the University of Exeter which are designed for
international students to help us to fully understand the English way of
legal writing and debate. What I love the most is the campus has the Electronic Learning
Environment which is just like library but it’s digital online so I can access
all of my materials and research from anytime and anywhere just by my laptop
or my digital tablet or my smartphone. It’s really helpful also
the Electronic Learning Environment as it has the newest research. The staff
in the Law School are not just brilliant educators but they’re brilliant scholars.
We have a wide range of world-leading experts who are genuinely at the cutting-edge of their research in a wide range of topics from international law, family
law through to commercial law, just to mention a few. You can expect to be
taught by these people when you come here to Exeter. Even before starting the
LLM course I’ve always wanted to work for European international organisations.
The LLM International Law has definitely
taken me a step closer to realising my dream.
