THESE LAMA’S STOPPED BY TO VISIT MEDICAL STUDENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA SAN FRANCISCO YESTERDAY. THE ANIMALS HELP THE GROUP DE- STRESS, OUTSIDE OF THE MEDICAL CENTER, ORGANIZER THERE WAS HAPPY TO SEE STUDENT PETTING AND TAKING SELFIES, WITH THE LLAMAS. SO WE ACTUALLY HAVE SOME THERAPY DOG EVENTS ON CAMPUS, BUT USUALLY ENDS UP BEING A COUPLE OF DOGS, AND A LOT OF STRESSED OUT STUDENT. SO THIS TIME WE DECIDED TO GO WITH SOMETHING LITTLE BETTER WITH THE LAMA SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO TRY TO GET PEOPLE TO COME OUTSIDE, LEAVE THE LIBRARY OR HOSPITAL FOR A LITTLE BIT. WHY NOT? THE LAMA’S ARE SPECIALLY TRAINED TO PROVIDE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, AS A RESOURCE FOR STRESS, AND DEPRESSION MANAGEMENT.
