Ombuds? No No No Ombud is that an acronym or I have a vague idea of what an Ombuds is So if a student feels like that there’s something going on with the professor and there was a miscommunication between the professor and the student they can go to the Ombuds office for support and address some of the issues that may be going on in the classroom What? I don’t know what that is.. A what? A what? The what? Oh I have no idea Yes, so the Ombuds office is a neutral third party resource for students here on campus So they address any problems or concerns that students may have whether that be with academic policies, workplace issues, or grade grievances, or just any issues with faculty or staff they’re a resource for students to utilize here on USF’s campus You are correct, the Ombuds office is located in ALN 191 They’re confidential which means your identity and what you say will not be shared with anyone unless you give your explicit permission Not only that. They are also informal meaning they are not a reporting office
