on, I’m trying to think what order I want to say it. Hey everybody, my name
is Miguel Arellano, and I am studying Human
Development and Family Sciences, option in Human Services. I am a fourth year
from Woodburn, Oregon, so just an hour north of here. I am graduating this year and starting a graduate
program next year called College Student
Services Administration. I am going to be a graduate
teaching assistant at the CCCC, which is the Centro
Cultural de Cesar Chavez. Hey everybody, so we are here
at Student Health Services, where students can drop in either
by appointment or by walk-in, and it provides free or discounted price for student health services. So what kind of services does
Student Health Services provide? They have a pharmacy, and with the pharmacy
you have the option of either paying for the medicine or charging it to your student account. They also provide a Sexual
Assault Nurse Examiners, Acupuncture, Physical
Therapy, Travel Medicine, Urgent Care Advice, Massages… Student Health Services
provides online resources. They something what’s
called the Patient Portal where students can view lab results, request a prescription
from the pharmacy, and contact their clinician. So what are the costs associated
with Student Health Services? So you are pretty much
already paying for it through your student fees, so most of the routine
clinic visits, they’re free. And if there is any costs
associated with them, they will let you know beforehand, and there is also a list
of fees on the website, so if you want to check
that out before you come. Hey everybody, we are here
at Student Health Services Room 310 Health Promotions, and what’s cool about this place is they offer a lot of
different consultations and advice on how your
health and personal life could affect your academics. And this is where they also
offer free contraceptives, and while you are up here, you can also come in
here into the “Hot Spot” and grab something before you get hot. So did you know OSU
is a smoke free campus? And did you also know that
Student Health Services provides one-on-one
consultations to people who are thinking
about quitting smoking. They offer free
nicotine patches and gum. So Student Health Services is located in Plageman Hall 108
Southwest Memorial Place. There is additional parking
on the side of the building for students who are using the services. Student Health Services’
hours of operation are Monday through Friday,
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the pharmacy is open
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To make an appointment,
all you have to do is call (541) 737-9355, and walk-ins are also acceptable, but urgency is taken into consideration. [END]
