Seattle Pacific University in 360: Campus Video Tour
The first pictures I ever saw of SPU were from the Loop. I immediately started thinking about how this was where I was going to be the next year. Choosing a college is a big deal, so when I heard that SPU was nationally ranked with UW and Wazzu, that pretty much sealed the deal for me. The thing that surprised me is how much my professors actually care about me as a person. They’re mentors, and friends. I like that my classes take everything I’ve got, I mean, I’m learning like I’ve never learned before. I’m learning how to relate to people who are different than me, or maybe they think differently. We live life together. And I’m making friends for life. My favorite part about going to Gwinn, is getting to connect to friends that I haven’t seen in a while. When you sit down for dinner with friends in the dining hall, you’ll understand. It’s not hard to see why we came to SPU. Moving into the residence hall was exciting. It’s a blank canvas! You get to make your room… your home. I can explore my faith here too. Not just Sundays in church, but in all my classes. I really like the rooftop on Arnett. When the sun is out, I like to lay out there and soak up vitamin D. This is the coolest city for exploring and working, at places like Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, or World Vision. I like the feeling of being on a team. Knowing that whatever happens, it’s not just about me. It’s about others, too. That’s what this place is all about. Where else can you be on Lake Union in the morning, hike in the woods in the afternoon, and get back in time for a concert? Even if you don’t compete, there are tons of ways to cheer. (singing) At the end of the day, it’s the best feeling to know I’m right where I’m supposed to be, at Seattle Pacific. When you come visit this place for yourself, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
