FRIEND, THE MOST WONDERFUL LOVING HUSBAND AND FATHER TO OUR SON ZACK CARRY AND A LOYAL FRIEND TO SO MANY. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SURPRISE TO A MINNESOTA MARINE TO HIS SISTER ON GRADUATION DAY. THE SCHOOL DISTRICT WON’T ALLOW IT. MAT SCOTT REACH OWED TO SEE IF HE COULD HAND HIS SISTER HER DIPLOMA ON STAGE. THE SCHOOL’S ANSWER IS NOT SITTING WELL WITH THE FAMILY THAT DISAGREED WITH THE DISTRICT BEFORE. LIZ LOOKS BACK AT THE DECISION. HE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING IN RETURN FOR ME. Reporter: L’WREN SCOTT SHOWED HER SUPPORT FOR HER BROTHER AT APPLE VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE. THROUGH HER VETERAN’S DAY SPEECHES. [ INAUDIBLE ]. Reporter: NOW IT’S MATTHEW WHO HOPED TO BRIEFLY SHARE THE STAGE TO HAND HIS SISTER HER DIPLOMA. WITH BOTH OF MY OLDER SONS, IT HAPPENED AT THEIR GRADUATION CEREMONIES, WHERE MATTHEW GOT THE IDEA. SHE SUFFERED SPINAL FRACK TORTS AND OTHER LASTING FROM THE FALL. FOR A SOLID FOUR YEARS AFTER THE INJURY I COULD HARDLY FEEL MY LEGS FROM THE KNEE DOWN. Reporter: THE DISTRICT INSISTS THAT INCIDENT DIDN’T PLAY A ROLE IN THIS DECISION. THE SCHOOL’S COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR TOLD ME IT DOESN’T ALLOW ANYONE ELSE ON STAGE TO PASS OUT DIPLOMAS OTHER THAN SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS TO NOT TAKE AWAY FROM OTHER STUDENTS. BUT THEY WOULD ALLOW HIM TO DO SOMETHING ELSE FOR HIS SISTER. AT THIS POINT IT WOULDN’T BE A SURPRISE. SHE WOULD LOVE FOR THE BROTHER MISTAKEN AS HER TWIN TO BE A PART OF NEXT MONTH’S MILESTONE. THE FACT THAT MY BROTHER CONSIDERED DOING IT FOR ME WAS SPECIAL. YOU HEARD IN THE STORY, CHRISTINE SCOTT INSISTS THAT THE SCHOOL ALLOWED EXCEPTIONS IN THE PAST BUT THE DISTRICT COULD RECALL ONE INCIDENT WHEN A PARENT WAS AT THE END OF THE RAMP AND NOT ON STAGE. EITHER WAY, IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY
