Ramit Sethi: “I Will Teach You To Be Rich, Second Edition” | Talks at Google November 23, 2019 42 By Stanley Isaacs CategoryArticles Blog 42 Comments LESLIE TURNER says: September 4, 2019 at 4:01 pm It's been more than two weeks, but the last thing I purchased that continues to make me laugh and smile is the fake rubber dog shit I got for $1 at the dollar store. That shit continues to make me laugh every time I see that shit💩 Reply Henry Snow says: September 4, 2019 at 4:10 pm Those are some sexy pants! Cassie picked them out I bet Reply Hudaynazar Hudaynazarov says: September 4, 2019 at 4:15 pm The speech is awesome Reply Nepocrates says: September 4, 2019 at 4:28 pm I wonder why people think that they all can achieve the same level of "success" after being taught a skill. For example, I could be taught how to play basketball from Stephen Curry. Still at the end of the day I will still be at best junior college level player. Its an interesting speech and it could help some people. The nicest part of this is it should help you understand yourself better and that is a good thing. Reply Instawise says: September 4, 2019 at 6:24 pm Summed Up:Lesson 1: Start taking responsibility for your money Lesson 2: Take fixed cuts off your paycheck and automatically spend them towards your goalsLesson 3: Start investing today. No joke. Reply Nadica Živković says: September 4, 2019 at 6:28 pm Very good…the most important is how we spend money! Reply Marko Kraguljac says: September 4, 2019 at 7:50 pm This is a variant of old "rich folks, don't feel guilty, spend your money"… (our consumerist "economy" depends on it)Most people need more money just to pay bills and survive to the next month.. or to have healthcare and generally to stave off mind numbing uncertainty that everyone is facing. Reply CP Cards and Dice says: September 4, 2019 at 10:17 pm This is for morons Reply Peter Gayed says: September 5, 2019 at 2:15 pm 3:06 Plush microphone box you can toss to question-askers! Brilliant! Reply Naveen A says: September 5, 2019 at 4:47 pm Nailed it! Reply Edehe says: September 5, 2019 at 5:48 pm If there's one thing this guy is good at it's marketing. He has had no other financial and business success in his life other than selling his courses and books to people wanting to get rich. There's a brilliance in there that he managed to get rich off of people wanting to learn how to get rich. But at the end of the day if it helps people, who am I to judge? Reply Anurag Sherma says: September 7, 2019 at 1:50 am Fake news this is. Rich life has nothing to do with money. Jesus lived a rich life. Reply Seyed Mohammad Farzaneh says: September 7, 2019 at 2:54 am 15 min into the talk and still no inkling of what his idea is about. Just a bunch of trivial statements. Reply Artistry by Colette says: September 14, 2019 at 5:55 pm THIS is so inspiring! I got to plan out my money dial and see what’s important to me! I need more inspiring ideas 💡 especially around a car Reply Youfi says: September 17, 2019 at 1:26 pm I do not agree with him, if people's dreams are not that big and they are happy about it and chose it to be that way! why do they need to think again and make it bigger and much more challenging! looking at what people have makes you always want more! Reply Mateo says: September 20, 2019 at 7:15 pm He's improved a lot as a speaker. Pity his message hasn't evolved as well Reply Benjamin Packard says: September 22, 2019 at 11:30 pm long winded and lacks substance. Reply Carlos Andres Velasquez says: September 23, 2019 at 5:35 pm Ive read his book and its helped me tremendously. He has good advice and is a little more lenient and forgiving than Dave Ramsey’s “Total Money Makeover” BUT… I am having trouble wrapping my head around his “spend extravagantly” in this I love vs not in things I dont. I get it but his examples are only true to his life and his life doesn’t represent the majority of people’s life. He is rich. He can have a rich life. He has a choice of spending on the things that he loves. I don’t feel this is representative of the middle and low classes. Say for example I love spending money on fancy restaurants. Great! But I also have limited disposable income so while I love spending on fancy restaurants my limited disposable income tells me well you can do it once a month (if that) and I can cut on all the other things no car payment, small apartment etc but the disposable income doesn’t change is still limited by whatever amount is. When you have money making money then you can hack these into your money dials but before that I don’t see how its possible. Just a thought… nothing against him or his work. There is no point searching for hours for a lower interest rate if you are not ready to pay down debt aggressively in the first place. Reply Geordie McAlister says: October 19, 2019 at 5:24 am TRASH Reply Dirk Knight says: October 19, 2019 at 11:41 pm I will teach you to be intelligent in two seconds: stop listening to this crap. FYI compound interest on our investments is a complete MYTH & is just a marketing sales line for guys like this that doesn’t really exist. My money dial is buying things/experiences for those I love & are worth it. Reply john lee says: November 20, 2019 at 8:40 am just take it, go hide in a cave for 75 years. Hahaha….
