Notre Dame Psychology Internship: National Institute on Aging

I’m in Baltimore doing an internship
with the Laboratory for Behavioral Neuroscience at the National Institute
on Aging which is a part of the National Institutes of Health. My research project
this summer is relating the stress hormone cortisol to age-related changes
in brain volume. Right now I am running statistical analyses, cleaning up the
data, writing the code, putting it all together, and interpreting the results. This internship has really given me the opportunity to learn a lot of skills that are really valuable:
how to analyze longitudinal data, how to use some different statistical programs.
The Arts and Letters Summer Internship Program Grant was integral to my ability
to live here in Baltimore. I am very, very grateful. This has been an amazing
experience.
