Northwestern University “Northwestern Direction”
Some of us know who we want to be, where we want to go, and what we want to discover,
and some don’t. But one thing is for sure,
the path to what’s next isn’t just on a map. It’s all in our minds. For us, this is the starting line. But we’re never finished. There’s always someplace new to go, another idea to chase, because we take paths that twist, turn, and take us to unexpected places. Like when chem lab leads to French literature discourse, to volunteering at a children’s hospital. Or when you mesh engineering with physics, then add some molecular biology and software development, and all of a sudden a cancer cure is within reach. Our journeys lead us to where science meets art, and computer science meets journalism, and food supply meets market forces, and serious meets funny. I guess you could say that “and” is in our
DNA. We race towards these intersections
because that’s where you find artistic statements, profound discoveries, medical breakthroughs, global adventures, and ideas worth sharing. It’s where you’ll find new definitions of
leaders, mentors of those leaders, students and athletes, all-in-one. Our journeys create new companies, command performances, and lead us to rethink what’s conceivable. So, how far will you go?
