– My name is Ji Hoon
Lee and I’m from Korea. I have been in the U.S.
for about two years and I’m here to learn my English first, and then I’m hoping to transfer to four year university. And I really like to living in America. I like America life (laughs). And welcome to SRJC. When I first came to SRJC, it was a little bit nervous to me, ’cause everything was new to me. But since my friends and
teacher treat me so nicely, I can enjoy college life here. I was in ELS program
before I came to SRJC. In ELS I had no idea with
how to transfer to SRJC. But my staff in ELS helped me a lot to transfer to SRJC. I think I’ve improved my English
through the English class including speaking,
listening, and writing. And there’s a free tutor
center that you can get help for your homework and writing. So that helped me a lot to
improve my writing stuff. I live in an apartment
in downtown Santa Rosa with two housemates. One is from Hong Kong
and one is from Taiwan and they all international
student at SRJC. And this apartment is close to the plaza in downtown and close to the school, so it’s really good location to live. For me one of the most fun activities I’ve done here is a bike trip. I have a bike, so my roommate and I ride a bike in around the Santa Rosa. And we sometimes go San Francisco and we bike in San Francisco. If you’re thinking
about coming to the U.S. to study, you have to come to SRJC. There are not so many Koreans here that means you won’t spend
all the time with Koreans. If you wanna learn English faster, you have to spend time
with either American, or people who doesn’t speak your language.
