I was forced to teach him and am only 12. It was fun though. Reply kelly ann bell allen says: June 18, 2013 at 9:39 pm i think words should not be taught in isolation.,it has no meaning in isolation! Reply chan tastic says: August 5, 2013 at 4:06 pm That's not what the research shows. Sight words, along with vowel sounds should be taught in isolation to promote mastery and avoid confusion. Reply chan tastic says: August 5, 2013 at 4:08 pm More commonly, these are referred to as exception words. High frequency/sight words are based on the Dolch and Fry word lists. These are the most commonly used words children will encounter in subsequent grades while reading grade level text. Reply Mrs. Calabrese's Teaching Channel says: August 15, 2013 at 1:33 am 62% of the English language are short vowel words. 95% of the English language is logical and decodable.. If you would use the award, winning Sing, Spell, Read & Write program you would see that sight words are introduced logically and are actually decodable by Step 19. There are 36 Steps to independent reading ability in Sing, Spell, Read & Write. Reply Help Children Read says: October 13, 2013 at 10:49 pm Excellent Video!! In my opinion struggling and reluctant readers really enjoy working on a computer as it allows them to progress at their own pace. The more a child practices the new sound combinations and words, the more they learn. Any resources to help them with this practice helps them improve. We teach our son how to read with the help of this excellent reading guideline “Wamzοzο Loli” (Google it). Before, we`re the ones reading him stories before he goes to get to sleep. But now, he`s the one reading his own books in front of us. Reply Evan Sanchez says: July 23, 2017 at 6:40 am She was frightened of reading at the start – afraid of being mistaken. Yet after 2 months followed this reading guideline “Wamzοzο Loli” (Google it), she has started out beginner novels and reads by herself! We are very impressed with the results! Any age level could use this method. Reply Carmen Rodriguez says: July 25, 2017 at 8:11 am Last March, I stumbled onto this reading guideline “fetching loli only” (Google it). My boy and I have already been serious in doing reading lessons since then. Today, my son do not need my help to read textbooks. My boy feels really confident and is performing good in Kindergarten this year. Reply Rahmatullah Sadiqi says: August 6, 2017 at 11:09 am very good Reply Mike Owen says: January 26, 2018 at 9:37 am Really good and informative video. Air writing was mixed which would be confusing for the students but i really like the discussion about the sounds and why the word is interesting. This excellent reading guideline ( lovy.biz/1699 ) has helped a lot in improving the reading capabilities of my son while he is on grade level and his progress really amazed his reading tutor. For me, this program must be utilized in classes Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
