[ Music ]>>Hello, everyone. Today is a very special day, and I
wanted to share it with all of you. Ta-da! Today is my high school graduation day. That means I’m one step closer
to going to college and becoming a graphic designer
just like I’ve always dreamed. [ Phone Ringing ] Hi!>>Hey, girl.>>Oh-em-gee, Cristina. Can you believe it?>>I know. The big day is finally here. So did you get any sleep? Because the last time we talked
was, like, at, what, 3:00 a.m. [ Music ] [ Snoring ]>>I know, right? No, I didn’t sleep much. How about you?>>Not a wink. But you still look fierce, girl. So you ready to start college in the fall?>>Heck yeah! I filled out my paperwork, and
I applied for financial aid. I just have to get my design supplies
and enroll for classes in the summer. Girl, I am ready.>>Well, I got some news of my own too, Lu.>>What is it? Tell me.>>Okay. Here goes. [ Drum Roll ] I decided to go to college too.>>What? Oh, my gosh! Cristina, that is the best news, like, ever! [ Music ] What made you change your mind?>>Well, it was you. I mean, it’s all you talk
about, like, all the time. [ Voice Speeded Up ] You made me realize that I need to go
out there and make a life for myself too, and the best way to do that
is by going to college. You also showed me that it can be affordable.>>Yes, that’s right. So do you have any idea what
career you might want? I mean, it’s okay if you don’t. You can always just choose later.>>Of course I know. I want to be an architect. I’ve just always wanted to build cool stuff. And don’t judge, but I’m always
doodling or drawing houses or designing cool buildings in my head.>>I am so proud of you, Cristina. Oh-em-gee, we are going to have
careers that we love, not just jobs. [ Music ] Wait. That reminds me. Did I tell you that my cousin
Eduardo is going back to school?>>But he’s married already.>>Yeah, he is, but he wants to get
training for a job that pays better. I mean, he’s got kids, rent,
a car payment, bills to pay. He’s going to start online classes
at his community college this fall.>>So he can take college
classes at home on his computer?>>Yeah. They also offer different courses
for people like him who want to get ahead but have jobs, so they don’t have
time to go to college in person.>>Wow.>>Lupita, isn’t it time to go? You don’t want to be late for graduation.>>Yes, Mami, I’m coming. I will see you in a second.>>Okay.>>Okay, Cristina, I have to go. I will see you there. [Squeals] [ Music ] Okay, everyone, wish me luck. I just want you guys to know that because
I’m going to be really busy at college, I won’t have time to be posting
videos all the time, but I will still be posting
on Instagram and Snapchat. And don’t forget to visit ICanAffordCollege.com. You can get all of the financial aid information
you need to make your college dreams a reality. I’m going to college! Yay!
