Graduation Initiative 2025: Overview

Each year nearly 100,000 students earn a degree
from a California State University. Our graduates drive the economy and spur innovation
in California’s most important industries like agriculture, science, technology, health
care and education. From Humboldt in the north to San Diego in
the south, world class faculty and staff at our 23 campuses are preparing graduates today
for the careers of tomorrow. But we’re committed to doing even better. When students have the chance to graduate
on time, they save money and increase their lifetime earning. They can also enter the workforce sooner,
ready to pursue their future and make their mark on California and the world. That’s why, with Graduation Initiative 2025,
we are bringing together many resources and innovative practices to ensure that all CSU
students have the opportunity to receive a high quality education and earn a degree. We’re hiring more faculty to teach more classes. Bringing in additional advisors for our students
and improving our advising tools. We’re providing financial support for students
who need additional help, and are supporting students’ basic needs. We’re using data to figure out what works,
and what doesn’t. We’re supporting students every step of the
way, so that all CSU students, regardless of background or circumstance, have the opportunity
to graduate on time and purse their dreams. Paving the way for the next generation of
creators and builders, leaders and innovators. Through Graduation Initiative 2025, we are
empowering Californians to be the most successful version of themselves, so they can create
a greater tomorrow for our state, and the world.
