Graduate Programme 2019/2020 – Our Programme

I suppose there’s a couple of advantages
over other grad programmes. I find the flexitime option in the bank one
of the biggest positives about working here. I am not locked into, you know, the traditional
nine to five. The second thing is the very competitive salary
compared to other grad programmes. For me, the location of the Central Bank is
very practical, right beside Spencer Dock Luas stop, it really
helps for my commute. Also having the IFSC and The Point at your
doorstep gives a number of options in terms of lunch
or from a social setting even. I’d say one thing that surprised me when
I started working here is definitely the culture. There is a real sense of togetherness. In many organisations you might find divisions
are very separate to each other. Here, I think you can really see the teams
are working together to achieve a common goal. I think there is a real sense of direction
within the Graduate Programme. You know that there is three years of it. You know that you are rotating three times and you feel like you really are working towards something. So my day-to-day role might be engaging with
firms, whether that be through email, over the phone, or just through general conversation. I think the most exciting part of work for
me is being able to make a difference and really see the difference. There’s definitely an emphasis within the
bank for you to be yourself and not try to fit into a certain mould. At the end of the day the culture in here
really wants you to be you. It’s crazy how good, you know, the facilities
are within the bank, coffee dock on every floor, state of the art
canteen. I’m a member of the Strength Room downstairs
so if you do want to go down, and you know, do a workout at any point during the day you
have that option. If you’re considering applying for the Central
Bank Graduate Programme I’d highly encourage it. I think it’s an organisation that allows
you to grow as an individual on an ongoing basis and I really couldn’t recommend it enough.
