Google Basics for Teaching

Have you ever wanted to take your students
to see the Great Pyramids in Egypt? Or the Taj Mahal in India? Or the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy? What if your students didn’t have to keep
track of papers to complete assignments? How would you use technology
to accelerate and improve learning across the educational system?
We know that teaching is hard work – challenging, rewarding,
and impactful work – and we want to make sure that technology
is a handy tool in an educator’s toolkit and a powerful educational ally,
not an adversary. Our new course, Google Basics for Teaching,
will introduce you to the use of Google products in an educational setting to enhance your
efficiency and effectiveness as an educator. Some of the tools will help with
administrative tasks outside the classroom, while others will help with classroom management.
Still others will impact classroom instruction or classroom culture and will help inspire, engage,
and personalise your students’ education. We hope you will join us to learn how educators
like you are managing assignments using Google Drive, communicating information with their
students and families using Google Sites, analyzing famous artwork with their students
using Google Cultural Institute, as well as many more examples of
effective teaching with technology. We don’t have all the answers, but we hope
we can help you learn some exciting new ways to integrate technology into your challenging,
rewarding, and impactful work. You’ll join a community of passionate educators
as you go through lessons and examples of what you can do in your classroom,
aided by technology. Click Register to get started. We look forward to seeing you in our course!
