Hi, I’m Toan. I’m from Vietnam. Hello, my name is Lorena Alonso. I’m from Mexico. Hello, everyone, my name is Tina. I come from China. Hi, my name is Mohammed. I’m from Saudi Arabia. Fontbonne University, located in Saint Louis Missouri, is a
small private liberal arts university with a student-centered focus built on a
foundation of challenging academics in business, science, humanities, education, and fine arts. Fontbonne offers a vibrant university
experience in a small campus atmosphere with nearly
3,000 students, where diversity, creativity, and
innovation are embraced. In an atmosphere committed to excellence,
students are challenged to think critically act ethically, and communicate
effectively, both in and out of the classroom ,by faculty
who are both scholars and mentors. Graduates at Fontbonne are
well-equipped to play a leadership role in meeting the challenges of a global
society. International students tend to thrive at
Fontbonne University. The faculty is very accustomed to teaching
international students with the experience that they had out in the private sector. We try to teach our students to capture all the
tools so they can go out and apply what they’ve learned. We have Fortune 500 companies here in the Saint Louis area that will allow them to take
internships, to gain employment afterwards, so we try to
expose students to not only the curriculum but also the community and our mission
and vision here at Fontbonne. In today’s global economy, education is
key to a successful future. Studying abroad in the United States
offer students the highest quality education, which will open doors to future
opportunities. America’s education system, I think, is totally different from China, and it focuses on individual learning and creative thinking. Located in the heart of
the Midwest in Saint Louis, a historic cultured city highly regarded
as a center for the arts, education, and business, unique
neighborhoods, free events, excellent public
transportation, and diverse culinary scene makes Saint Louis a wonderful place to
live and study. There are a lot of places that you can enjoy. There are a lot of theaters to go, cinemas, and a lot of activities, for example this Thursday I go to the opera and I think there is a lot of things to do here in St. Louis.
I’ve discovered that Saint Louis is a very friendly city. It’s, the people are very, very tolerant,
they’re very sweet and they’re very friendly too. And that definitely played a role in
allowing me to come out of my sorta cultural shell. Situated among
the tree-lined boulevards of one of Saint Louis’ most prestigious
neighborhoods is Fontbonne University. Fontbonne
University is a top destination for international students seeking challenging academics and a
sense of community in a liberal arts atmosphere, and with a 13
student to 1 professor ratio, students develop close relationships
with professors. I think the small class size is really
important. It’s for the faculty as well as the students. It gives us a chance to get to know the
student, form a personal relationship, professional as well as
personal, so I think that’s really important. Founded in 1923, Fontbonne University has a long history
of educating leaders to serve a world in need through individualized liberal arts
academic programs. At Fontbonne, international students
enjoy an educational experience focused on exploration of individual
talents and interests in an intellectually constructive
environment. I know personally the mathematics and computer science
department is a very challenging program and all of our students get jobs afterwards. We are sought after for interns, because they know what we put them
through academically and while it’s challenging, we walk with
them along the way. Fontbonne University has
more than 40 accredited undergraduate and graduate programs with notable degree programs including
business, computer science, fine arts, and MBA. Fontbonne prepares its graduates to become innovative global leaders through its
commitment to quality academics, leadership development, and community
service. The campus community is engaging, active, and energetic with a variety of
clubs and organizations, university athletic teams, and community
service opportunities. Students have many opportunities to get
involved and make new friends. Learn more about
