>>Citizen: I am not surprised that Flagstaff was named one of the top twenty college towns
in America. Northern Arizona University is an amazing university and this community is
an amazing community that we are all proud to be a part of and hope to share with others
>>Nancy Harrison: In its annual College Destinations Index the American Institute for Economic
Research, looked at student concentration and diversity, arts and leisure and entrepreneurial
opportunities. Flagstaff ranked number fourteen among college towns with less than 250,000
residents Flagstaff’s beautiful scenery and historic
downtown make our city quite a draw for tourists and students alike.
>>Citizen: We’re in one of the largest Ponderosa Pine Forests in the world. We are situated
between an amazing hub of attractions from Sedona, the Grand Canyon, the Navajo Nation,
we are along route 66, and we also have seven major national or state parks surrounding
us. So we are really situated as a place to learn and enjoy life
>>Student #5: There is so much to do, you don’t just go to college and that’s all you
do. If you want to go to college, you do your work and after you do your work there is plenty
