Hey, I’m Charlie welcome to my room Hey I’m Charlie and I study finance and economics
here at Lancaster uni I’m in Cartmel college. I love this College. I’m actually on the college JCR as the sports officer so in my spare time I do a lot of sports and obviously I do also
run my own YouTube channel so I chose superior en suite here in Cartmel because I do like my privacy and I wanted my own bathroom and I also just really liked the college. When I looked around Cartmel it just seemed like a really happy place and Barker House Farm is such a big space,
it just seem really nice here my least favourite thing about this accommodation is that Cartmel is a bit of a 10-minute walk from your lectures and I notice the annoys quite a lot of
people but personally I like it because I feel like you kind of come home and
you’re not living right by your lecture theatre it’s not like daunting you through the night kind of thing I try to like keep the colour scheme the same so I’m quite a pink person, quite a girly person so I brought like a lot of my pink things from home with me, my fairy lights I also brought like blankets from home and things when you’re in bed at night it’s homely I guess. I picked catered this year because, honestly I’m not that great a cook and I also thought but it would
save me a lot of like time in the morning if I was gonna make myself a full English
which is what I have every morning I’d have to get up a lot earlier for lectures, and but I can just eat in 15 minutes and then be at lectures and you don’t have to worry about washing up. With catered you do know you’re getting a
healthy meal and if you like veggie options and there’s always like fruit and vegetables and it’s just it’s a lot healthier I think just because you’ve got it cooked for you already, so you may as well eat it. Hi I’m Bobby I’m a second-year computer
science student in Furness College. So, because first years obviously get priority on campus, I had multiple options with either living in town at Chancellor’s wharf
or on campus like en suite So I went with en suite because it’s just more convenient to be on campus I like being central on campus and it’s nice to be like in the centre of everything, all the shops are near It’s quite nice on the weekends because it’s quite quiet it’s not too busy or anything like that I would change to be back on Furness perimeter because the cost of this accommodation isn’t the best so I would prefer it to be cheaper So I’ve decorated my room with posters of my favourite artists like David Bowie, and I’ve got my favourite TV shows. I’ve also got pictures of like me and my girlfriend and different memorable things that we’ve done together. So we went to Manchester Pride together and like chess is my one of my favourite games. I think just things like that make it personal to me Hey everyone I’m Muni. I am a second year physics, astrophysics and cosmology student but in my first year I was one of the JCR Exec members for Bowland College which where I live so welcome, I chose this room because it had en suite, it was within my price budget and it’s really close to the Physics Building because that’s what I study I think my favourite thing is probably that I have my own bathroom Reason number one as to why I chose it? yeah, there was actually one time that
I remember I woke up at 9:50 a.m. and I had an assignment due at 10:00 a.m. and I just threw on my clothes and ran straight to the physics building made it there 9:58am, stapled my assignment, handed it in on time with just like a minute to spare, so being close to the building really worked out! so I don’t like that you can see in through the windows really easily so I usually have my blinds down because even if you’re walking outside and you look up you can see people inside the rooms. So I’m from the Caribbean, and I also have
my flags up there so this is the first one, the Dominiquan flag and that’s the island that I’m from and the second flag just kind of reminds me of Barbados because I lived there for a really long time so to me it’s it’s one of my homes as well and also I have loads of pictures of my friends and family behind me so and it’s, like, right next to my bed so I get to see them every day even though they’re not really here with me
