>>Whether you’re an alum of one year of many years, we have a lot to be proud of. Recently, Endicott has made the national news. Ranked #10 by the U.S. News and World Report of Baccalaureate Institutions in the north. Parade Magazine identifying us as one of the Top 10 internship institutions in the nation! And obviously, one that we’re very proud of is by vote of our faculty, staff, and all the employees; we were ranked in the Top 35 of best colleges and universities to work for in the nation. These things are things to be celebrated, but Endicott’s much more than that. As you drive onto the campus, you see beautiful buildings. You see the restoration of some of our oldest and finest buildings and then you see some of the new, modern buildings, such as in the Center for the Visual & Performing Arts, and the new building to be built in Life Sciences & Business. All of this translates to the best possible education for our students today and we’re proud of that. When I came to Endicott 25 years ago, I set aside three goals. One was to turn the institution to be a strong, financial success story. Second was to be able to build pride and enjoy in the institution by the alumni. And third, to be able to help students who might not be able to afford to be in Endicott to be here. These are things that you, as alumni, have helped us achieve. Your support, your belief and your trust has truly made a difference in each one of these goals. I know the economic times are difficult. They’re difficult for you. They’re difficult for us. One of our challenges, though, is to increase the amount of endowment that we have as a college so that we can achieve the dreams and the future that is before us. Nineteen percent of our alumni donate to the college. It’s not a matter of how much, but it’s the percentage. It’s the commitment that we can show foundations, corporations, businesses, that our alumni believe in us, that our alumni are willing to support us. Our competition, our peer groups, that percentage is 30%. We need to get close to that. We need one out of every three alumni to place a priority on helping us increase and grow our endowment. Our endowment is small compared to competition. But with your support and with your help, it will grow and that will in turn move into scholarships and financial aid to perpetuate the strength of this college. It deserves it. It needs your help and I ask for your support. It is my sincere hope that this short video reconnects you to the college and connects you to the importance of giving, the importance of passing on the legacy of the college. You can do that by clicking on the website connected to this video. If you can make a gift today, please try. It truly will make a difference. Our goal is 30% of our alumni. Will you be one of those? Thank you for your support. Thank you for your belief in us. And thank you for being strong Endicott alum. [Music] [Clear Command] [Clear Command]
