video Which is about Indian Universities. In India, we have different types of Universities State University, Central University, Private University or Deemed to be university, so what is the difference between these universities what is the functionality difference and whether any difference in the degree from these universities. and will try to figure out if any restrictions on your higher studies or on your Job chances. and one more new notification from UGC because of that 123 deemed university earlier which were using University with their name. now they are restricted to use the University word with their names. so how this is going to affect the students of these Universities those are already a part of these universities. already studying or going to join these Universities. is there any bad effect on these students so on all these topics, we will discuss so let us start Friends, any country Universities are playing an important role in the education system of that country. After schooling, your higher education is somehow related to any university, In our country, the total no. of Universities is 789. and UGC- University Grant Commission is the main Governing body which provides affiliations to Universities and which takes care & looks after the proper working of these universities State Universities are being established and managed by state Governments, the establishment and running cost is being beered by the state Government. Currently, in our country we have 359 total sate universities. state universities can decide their course, can conduct an exam, can decide their Tuition fees. and they can grant a degree to their students. some top examples of state universities are- Patna University Patiala University, Andhra University, National law university Central University is being established and run by Central Government. Department of Higher education of India which works under the Ministry of HRD looks after central universities. Central universities are the most reputed universities in India. DU- Delhi University, JNU AMU, University of Allahabad are some top examples of central universities. right now India is having a total of 47 central universities. Central universities are also having the rights to decide a course and Tuition fees. they can conduct exams and can grant a degree. Private Universities are being established and run by some private individual or entity. on fulfilling the norms of UGC- UGC grants them University status. but with some conditions- that private universities cant have OFF CAMPUS the state and campus, they got the affiliation that campus only they can run. along with this, they have a condition that they cant give affiliation to any other college. from their side. (as we know so many colleges comes under one state or central university) Right now a total no. of 260 private universities are there in India. they also have the right to decide their course, can conduct an exam can decide their tuition fees and they also can grant the degree to their students. Sharda University Noida, Amity University Noida, st. Xavier’s University, Kolkata are some of the top examples of private universities. Deemed to be Universities functioning is almost similar to the private University, with some minor differences. Deemed to be university gets their university status from the Ministry of HRD on the advice of UGC. the deemed to be university can have OFF Campus and can have campuses in other states. and they can give affiliation to some other colleges. earlier, these same deemed to be universities were called as Deemed University. but because of a new notification from UGC they are now not permitted to use University word with their names. so no bad effects on the students studying there or going to join these universities. no bad effect at all. UGC has introduced some new norms that these deemed to be Universities have to fulfill. and if they are going to perform well in the next 5 to 6 years. they can again use University with their name. Deemed to be Universities Functioning is also almost similar to private universities, with some basic differences. the main difference is that deemed to be university can have campuses in other states. can give affiliations to other colleges. A total no. of 123 deemed to be universities are there in India. Tamilnadu is having most no. of deemed to be universitie- a total of 28 Deemed to be universities are also having rights to decide their course , Tuition fees, can conduct an exam. and can grant a degree. SRM University Chennai VIT University Vellore, Kalinga University, Bhubaneshwar, are some top examples of deemed to be University. An important point, that whether the type of University affects job chances or higher education chances so, the answer is – there won’t be any difference. you can choose any government sector job or private sector job or can go for higher education according to your course. there is no such restriction that you are from this University, so you are not eligible for this job. there are no such guidelines, ignore any such matters. here you have to take care of one small matter, that in India some Fake universities are also there. so you have to take care that the university or college you are joining is not a Fake University. so, how to check the fake university I have provided the link in the description. you can check what are the fake universities in India. so, friends, I hope I explained to you about Universities. and you are going to get a degree from any of them you are eligible for government sector jobs or private sector jobs there is no doubts now. if you are having any suggestions – please let me know in the comment section. please like and share my work.
