Critical Care Nurse Open Day – Monday 18 Nov, 10-1pm, Post Graduate Medical Centre (PGMC), RUH Bath.
Hi my name is Jennifer Nash, I’m an IT sister working at the RUH Intensive Care Unit. I only started in the RUH in April, I emigrated from South Africa so it was the first hospital that I’ve worked in the United Kingdom. I’ve settled in really well because of the wonderful, fantastic team that’s just supportive and helps you settle in find your feet and establish yourself as a Critical Care Sister. I would highly recommend the unit not just for new staff which is great because we have a wonderful preceptorship programme mentorship programme and the staff are supernumerary, they get mentored until they feel comfortable to work in the critical care environment but also for older more experienced critical care staff, there’s a lot of development opportunities, growth opportunities professionally and personally. The team’s wonderful they work together, the doctors and nursing staff and allied professionals work together. It’s a 13 bedded unit general ICU and high care patients. It’s been a wonderful place for me and I’m sure you’d enjoy it. So come along to our open day on the 18th of November and meet our team it’ll be great to see you.
