With more the 7000 graduate students
and postdoctoral fellows from over 150 countries, Concordia
Graduate Studies is a welcoming and diverse community. It’s a dynamic hub of research
and innovation, located in cosmopolitan Montreal. And the great news is that
it’s affordable! We also have some spots in our residences
allocated to graduate students. Spread over two campuses, Concordia offers
over 120 graduate programs, diplomas and certificates. Our graduate students find themselves
researching in our state-of-the-art labs, reading in newly renovated
libraries, performing in experimental
exhibitions spaces, studying in smart classrooms and collaborating in modern
office and meeting spaces. Our ExploreConcordia.ca website allows you
to search among our award-winning and internationally recognized professors
by keyword. You’ll discover professors with the same
research interests as you and their contact information, so
you can connect with them. So what might be your research interest? Art in a cultural nexus? Engineering in an aerospace capital? Tech in gaming hub? Social science in a unique city? Montreal is full of rich opportunity
for research. One example: Concordia is working with the
Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to create programs in education, art history and
art therapy. At the PERFORM Centre for preventive
health research – psychologists, exercise scientists and
physicists are collaborating with Les Grand Ballet Canadiens. They’re
investigating the power of dance to slow cognitive decline as
we get older. At Concordia, we’ve got global connections
and you can take advantage of them to gain international experience. Do part of your program in another
country – you’ve got 35 to choose from, at over 150 partner universities. Students are eligible for funding once
a year to present at a conference anywhere in the world the meetings
take you. 70% of students in research-based degrees
receive fellowships for their academic excellence at the time of admission.
No application is necessary! GradPro Skills is a free service for all
graduate students that will help you with professional skill development,
networking, writing, presenting, and all kinds of resources that fall
outside of your academic program. The workshops and events are also a
great way to meet students from other programs. Could Concordia be the right place
for your graduate Studies? Let’s start a conversation!
