COLLEGE KIDS REACT TO THEMSELVES ON TEENS REACT #6
– (FBE) So today, you’re going
to be reacting to yourself. – Hmmm?
I’m reacting to myself? – Oh god, are you gonna show me
the video when I first started? I was extremely nervous
when I first came here. – Oh god, do I have to watch
my younger self? I gotta go. It was Teens React to My Little Pony. That was six years ago, right? Oh my gosh! – I remember the exact day! I thought I was coming in
for an audition for this show. No. It was THE episode of Teens React. I was like, “Oh [bleep], all right.
Well, that happened.” Very first episode of Teens React,
I was the youngest reactor. – (FBE) Okay, so first,
what we’re gonna do is show you a picture
of what you look like in your first episode.
– Oh my gosh. I don’t know what I was doing. I still have the same haircut. Ugh, little Chelsea
was so cringy, so cringy. I mean, I’m still cringy,
but I’m not THAT cringy, you know? – I’m a [bleep] baby! Man, braces did me good. I see where my teeth was scraggly. – I was a lot more closed off. Honestly, since then,
I’m a lot more open. I came out since then,
which is nice. I’m able to be myself,
be more open. That’s like a little of seed
of Sergio right there. – (FBE) Okay, so now
we’re going to show you some footage from your first episode! – This is gonna be so bad!
Just do it. (laughing) It’s going to be painful. – ♪ And magic makes it all complete ♪ – I was so nervous. I knew the Fine brothers
from watching Last Moments of Relationships,
and going in there and meeting them and I had to–
I don’t know. I was just like,”Aaah!” – (FBE) And who do you think
this TV show’s target audience is? – (Chelsea) Probably just girls? – Honestly, yeah, I thought
it was just girls. Honestly, learning
about the bronies was a shock. – (FBE) There are also
a lot of people who think that bronies are like
the cancer of the internet. Why do you think people care so much? – I have no clue. They probably have
too much time on their hands. – (chuckling) Savage!
Oh my gosh. I was so mean! – (FBE) If you were the creator
of the My Little Pony show, and you made this for little girls,
but then all of this happened, how do you think
that would make you feel? – (Chelsea) It would
be a little awkward. – No, now, I’d be like, “Hell yeah,
my show’s getting views!’ I don’t know what I was thinking. I was little. Let’s just blame it
on me being little. – (FBE) So why do you think
we would be showing you this to you on Teens React?
– To see if we remember it? – That was the dumbest answer.
How did I get on this show? I was nervous.
I was sweating. Just being there
and trying to be on it was a big deal to me. I was like, I wanted to impress them. – (Ethan groaning) – (snickering) That was me
already knowing what it was. – (Ethan) Why? Why? Why? – I still got the same
reactions today. I had little knowledge
and I wasn’t excited. Just like I am for a lot
of the stuff we do today. – (FBE) Have you read the books?
– (Ethan) Nope. – Proudly. I said that so proudly. “Nope!”
Damn right. – (FBE) So are you Team Edward,
Team Jacob, or Team I Don’t Care? – (Ethan) Team I Don’t Care.
– Hell yeah! To this day, I will remain
Team I Don’t Care. – (FBE) What about the fact
that in Twilight, vampires sparkle? – (Ethan) Let’s just hang ’em up
and make it a disco ball. – That’s the one!
That’s the line I remember! Someone made a comment about it,
saying that black kid was funny, saying that, and I was like, “Yeah!” – (FBE) Why specifically do
girls and women love Twilight? – (Ethan gushing) Boys!
– (snickering) I’m [bleep] hilarious! (shrilly) “Boys!” – (FBE) And what would you say
to the Twilight haters? – (Ethan) Yeah!
– (cracking up) “Yeah.” I did not think that was
gonna be as funny as it was. I am proud of myself
for making myself laugh. – (Hazel) Why are you staring at me? – (Augustus) ‘Cause you’re beautiful.
– (Sergio) Stalker. – I remember that.
I remember that line because I remember
people commented, “Stalker.” – (Augustus) You don’t get to choose if you get hurt
in this world, but you– – Sorry, I don’t like seeing myself. That was the only episode
I filmed in their other building. Their building was extremely small,
at least compared to this. It’s amazing to see
something you’re proud of. Even if I wasn’t a part
of seeing this company, they work so hard
and just seeing them grow to what they have now. – (FBE) Why is this book specifically–
– Kaelyn, my first friend here. Prior to when I really
made first friends, I used to text Kaelyn all the time. – (FBE) And if John Green
ended up watching this, what would you want to say to him?
– (Sergio) I love your books. – Sorry, in that episode,
some people had to talk to John Green, and I didn’t. They sent me an email,
“I’m sorry, but he wasn’t available the day you filmed,”
and I remember I was so heart crushed. – (FBE) So now that
you’re officially on Adults React, what was your biggest takeaway
from being on Teens React for all those years?
– The biggest takeaway? The biggest takeaway was
definitely opening me up as a person. I used to be super shy
and wouldn’t talk and I think this show
has really helped me– I don’t know,
it kinda shaped who I am. I’m more outspoken now. I feel like it’s okay
to have opinions– because it is. – The fact that I can go back
and watch myself grow up, I can literally see myself
evolve through each stage of my life as I got older, to this day. And that part’s kind of cool,
but also kind of weird because, you know, I may go back
when however old I am. [Bleep], if this [bleep]’s
still going on, I might be on Elders. Damn. – It broadened my thought process,
broadened my horizon. I met other people I wouldn’t
really be friends with. All these people here,
I probably wouldn’t talk to if they went to my school,
but they’re nice, and I’m glad I got to experience this
because, honestly, it’s an aspect of my life
that I admire, that I love, and I’m glad I got to share
my thoughts and everything with all you guys. I don’t believe my opinions matter
more than anybody else’s, but I feel like I should have
the opportunity to give them and to share my point of view.
