>>Jessica Kelley: I think the reason CMU stands out is because we
have such a beautiful campus. I really like the architectural design of it and it’ so green
and beautiful and everything about it just makes me fall in love with it.>>Ben Linzey: Compared to
California the cost is actually one of the biggest things that kind of drove me to
seek out this school. I mean I have no debts or loans right now because of the price
and there’s so many options that you can have within that affordable range so you kinda get to choose your
experience rather than having the cheapest one.>>Mia Nissen: The minute I was on campus
I realized that this is such a college town deep down, it’s becoming more and
more every day and it’s been so great to be a part of that. I’ve gotten to write for the magazine and gone to
be an ambassador so I get to meet people all the time, make a lot of meaningful
connections and it’s definitely helped me discover my passions through getting to be
involved in everything.>>Allison Defonso: It doesn’t feel like you need to fit a certain role to
join or anything like that. It feels like you can walk into student life and pick where you think you might belong and see how that fits for you. It takes me about 2 minutes to walk to my class in the morning which is really nice. My community is basically all
college kids too, so it feels like I’m on campus even though i’m not.>>Ben: Being able to go
backpacking, camping, skiing, hiking all in the same place through
different seasons isn’t just being so close to that outdoorsiness is a lot easier
to get to, than compared to California. It’s just the culture here is some what more open to it I guess. You can find anybody down the hall that wants to go
camping that weekend. It’s really easy to just find new group of friends every time you go
outdoors.>>Allison: If you’re a little skeptical about coming to CMU because it’s in a smaller town and it’s not
going to be as exciting as LA or anything like that, I feel like that only plays to your favor. There are a ton of things to do here and so many outdoor
things that you may not realize that you even like. So that’s definitely a reason to
come to CMU.
