BU Summer Term: International Student Experience

I am from Mexico, Lebanon, China, France,
Peru, Taiwan, Indonesia. Boston University, the whole experience allowed
me to reflect more on myself. It is a good program for the summer and there’s
lots of things to do around Boston. The BU campus as a whole is very nice. It was my first experience in the U.S. so
I discovered the U.S. culture. I made a lot of friends, like international,
Singapore and Peru, and here from the U.S. There’s a lot of people coming from different
parts of the world here to BU to study. It’s a university that’s recognized worldwide. They have a lot of courses, and also dates
that are flexible to me. Here, most of the teachers support their students
and it’s very encouraging. I actually looked up the staff before coming
here, and they seem to be very reputable, especially for the courses I was going to
take. The courses can be fast-paced, having said
that, there are enough resources on campus, even during the summer, for students to get
help. They really helped me and guided me apart
from just within the classroom, so I went to them for consultations about what I can
do in my future career, and it was very nice to hear their opinions because of their experience,
their point of view, because in Hong Kong you get different answers, especially because
of the different cultures. I have a more global view now of what I’m
going to do later in my career. Ah, favorite social events. So I really enjoyed kayaking on the Charles
River, Red Sox games, a visit to the aquarium, The Improv Asylum comedy shows. I played tennis a lot in the track and fitness
center, I played basketball at Fitrec. I also did sailing, which was pretty cool. The sports, the life, the people, I’m going to miss it. Come! Stop considering it! You won’t regret it!
