– The apprentice level
course is the first step in the Master Beekeeping
Certificate Program. This 20 hour course covers topics such as the history of bees, (pleasant folksy music) State and federal bee law, (pleasant folksy music) and the basics of keeping bees and the necessary tools and equipment needed to maintain and interact with your hive. (pleasant folksy music) The class will also cover bee biology (pleasant folksy music) and care of your bees
throughout the seasons. (pleasant folksy music) Students will also learn
how to recognize and treat common honey bee ailments and pests. (pleasant folksy music) After the completion of the
apprentice level course, students will know how to
manage honey bee colonies for maximized honey production
