Applying through UAC – helpful tips

Using UAC for the first time can be a little
bit daunting, so hopefully this quick video will help you out As an undergraduate applicant, you can select
up to five course preferences through UAC It’s important to check if any of your courses
have special requirements for entry Each course has a code and they vary by campus
and semester Make sure you order your five UAC preferences
as a wish list. You list the course you most want to study
as your top preference. Use preferences 2-5 as backups
I recommend filling up all 5 to increase your chances of receiving an offer. It’s a smart idea to put Newstep as your
5th preference or you can apply direct to UON for Open Foundation or Yapug. Don’t worry if you don’t receive an offer
for your top course straight away. Leave it as number 1 and you might receive
and offer in a later round. Make sure you accept the first offer you receive
and then only accept offers after that if it is for a higher preference and is something
you actually want to study. You only get one offer per round and you have
seven days to accept it. If you do not accept within seven days, you
will not receive another offer for this course. Make sure to keep checking your email for
offers and don’t forget to check your clutter and junk mail too. If you have any more questions, feel free
to contact us by phone, email or live chat. I hope this has been helpful, and we look
forward to seeing you at the University of Newcastle.
