I’m from New Delhi, India. Lisbon, Protugal From Switzerland Melbourne, Australia From Russia, Siberia. South Korea. I’m and eight semester acting BFA. Third semester of performing arts dance theater student Fourth semester of acting conservatory program changing into BFA next semester. I was really interested in AMDA because it’s a small college, and so they can focus on you much more. I didn’t expect it to be hands on. But here from the first day, you’re literally auditioning, you’re behind a camera, you’re dancing. They don’t baby you here. And I like that. To me, AMDA stood out because of their teachers. Each teacher brings such a different perspective to acting and to whatever class I’m in. All the teachers in the school, they are all working actors. And because of that, we tend to not only get the rich history that they’ve been taught in regards to acting, but also what’s currently happening in the industry. The curriculum is really really good. My favorite class … um, there’s so many. Oh my God, every semester it changes because there’s so many classes. I like all my classes. I loved improv. Styles. Voiceover acting. Acting for camera And acting techniques and acting scenes. They have basically almost everything. It’s just amazing. It was incredible to be in the middle of New York City. This is the heart of musical theater. Like you’re right there in the middle of everything. It’s just such a vibrant place. So great here. I felt so inspired every day. In the heart of Hollywood, there’s so many opportunities. There’s something that’s shooting like right across the street right now. To walk on those streets where those movies are shot it’s an amazing feeling. Every day when I wake up, I’m just really thankful and ready to go. Being an international student here kind of puts you in the highlight. And forces you to own up and be yourself no matter what. AMDA’s made it really easy to adapt to this change. Everyone here is very supportive. They love us. The really like us. What AMDA’s really good about giving you is that we have so many opportunities to not just be an actor or a musical theater student or a dancer you can also look in other areas of the industry. I wanna be a working professional. And I think I’m getting all the tools for that here. AMDA here is really good because when you graduate, they give you an OPT which is a Visa for a year for you to work as an artist. The opportunities that you get here are unlike any other that you can get in Australia. If you wanna break into the industry, come to the school with it’s headquarters in the town that made show business what it is. Research it, get involved, and you’ll see that AMDA’s perfect for you. If you’re truly passionate about acting or music or dancing as an art form and it is your calling and it’s what you wanna do go for it. It really pushes you to become a better artist. You might as well take a chance on something that you love. It’s worth it. So friends back home. If you’re thinking about coming to AMDA, do it. You will not regret it.
