I finished my education 67 years ago
because I’m now 82 it’s really been something I would never expect to
experience my biggest fear have been to start with that being an older person
that I would be left on my own I wasn’t I was just accepted as one of the
students there was no definition in age or anything at all it was really
nice really friendly I loved it she was a great student we didn’t do
anything differently for her we just supported her as we would any other
student but to have her in a seminar group with some 21 22 year olds setting
out on the creative writing journey was brilliant it gave a really really
wonderful dynamic to show that you can continue your learning at any time in
your life and you never give up on improving and getting better anything
that you want to do. I feel that sounds a bit big headed to say I’m proud but I think pleased, thrilled. We are incredibly proud of what Hilary has achieved we didn’t think she would get
into Kingston University at her age and the family is so proud of what she’s
done and what she has achieved my children my family they’ve all supported
me helped me where ever they can which has been
very gratifying and my friend Carol she’s always been there for me
