Welcome to the University of Waikato. This is my university. This is my home. Take a look around! Want to see more? Come with me. This is our state of the art Student Centre, the first place that you will come to when you arrive on campus. Staff over here will help to answer any questions
you might have about the university. And our friendly international support team,
will help to make you feel right at home. We’ve got computers and libraries upstairs,
and we’ve got meeting rooms on every floor to help you through those group assignments. If you get hungry, or you might want a coffee
to drink to get through one of those late night study sessions, we have a cafe, right
here too. – You’re going to be late for class! I better get going! I’m studying a business degree here at Waikato
and this is one of my classes. The learning style here focuses on what you
need to know and be able to apply when you enter the workforce. I get to work on a range of projects for real
life companies and I’m about to begin an internship where I get to apply what I’ve learned here
in class, in real life. This is the Village Green. It’s the social hub of our campus. Isn’t it nice with the lake over here? This is the place to come in between your
lectures… to meet up with your friends for a coffee or a bit of a meal. Otherwise, find a spot among the trees to
go and complete your assignments. There is always something going here, whether
it would be food, free activities, cultural performances or bands. Let’s take a closer look at the shops. There are food outlets here and here, offering
a range of food options including vegetarian and halal meals. There is a pharmacy right over here and a
bank or two over there. Basically, you’ve got everything you need,
all under one spot. Look at the time, we better get going! This is College Hall, it’s my home where I’ve
been living on campus for the whole year. It’s about a 5 minute walk from any of the
classes and it’s a great place to meet new friends. This here is the common room, where you can
come and play games, watch something in the projector room, or just meet up for a bit of
chat with friends. The Hall is fully catered, meaning you get
breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. There are also a range of accommodation options
including all male and all female floors. So what are you waiting for? Make the University of Waikato your home! I’ll see you soon!
