It feels amazing! I’ve been at the
University of Iowa for the last six years and this is my second degree from
the University and I’m just so thankful for all the opportunities that I’ve had
during my time here. All the professors that have helped me along the way, all
the friendships that I’ve made, the networks that I’ve created, and it feels
surreal to be finally graduating with my Katherine Grabowski, MPH and moving on to the next steps in medical school. I’m very excited. I feel like I have done something that I
never thought I would be able to accomplish. It’s been stressful, but it’s
so exciting to finally be done. So I’m going be working with the CDC in their Epidemic Intelligence Service, so I’m getting ready to move to Alaska. Which
I’ve never been to Alaska but, I had never been to Iowa before I started
classes here and it worked out really well. So I think it’ll work out while in
Alaska too. We have wonderful graduates and I that’s
one of the reasons that I wanted to be the Dean at the University of Iowa
College of Public Health is you can be so impactful because you train the
workforce for tomorrow and we are in good hands if we keep having students
such as the ones that graduated today.
